"Yvanim," free mp3
The first free Hannukah song is "Yvanim" from Three Log Night, me singing and playing viola (in 1988) and Bob Vasile on guitar.
By the way, this is pretty funny. Click on the candles one at a time...

Wow - what a beautiful voice you have, melinama. Thanks for the Hannukah song. A very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to you...
Beautiful! Oh, it will be so much fun to play and sing together.
Also, the little singing candles were delightful and silly.
Beautiful!
Thanks for this sweet dream.
Thank you for these songs. I am not very knowledgeable about Hebrew music, but I wanted to play a musical identification game with my fifth grade music students. It didn't seem fair to only use Christmas music, and this has been a great resource so I can include more music that my Jewish students can identify with.
Thank you!
Musically the Ma'oz Tzur is very beautiful - thank you for posting it. The new-think revision of the English translation is offensive - let the song just say what it says. Please don't attempt to superimpose current ideation on top of a thousand-year-old classic. Still, beautifully done; and, as stirring as the classic Ashkenazi tune is, having the Italian-Sefaradi version is a nice change.
