La heroina Melina y El Borracho Guapo Part II

Did I leave you on the edge of your seats? Well, I certainly left Borracho on the edge of ...my toilet seat.

Our story resumes...

After about 5 minutes of banging on the bathroom door, Melina starts to hear faint groans from Borracho, and is no longer concerned for his safety. AFter about five minutes more of banging and yelling, Borracho unlocks the bathroom door and stumbles right out.

"Do you want to go to sleep?" Melina asks.

Borracho simply grunts in response. He stumbles right past her and into her darkened kitchen, where he pulls up a chair to the sink, props his elbows on the edge of the sink, and lays his face in his hands.

Now, Melina's kitchen is no pretty place, but she doesn't feel like rescuing him anymore, so she turns the light on for him and goes to bed.

Morning comes.

Hannah opens her door to find:

---Her roommates bustling back and forth and going about their business, talking to each other in hushed tones and giving Melina weird looks.

---El Borracho crumpled up on her couch under some kind of wall tapestry he found on the floor, alternately sleeping and (as Melina's roommates later told her) gazing blankly at the ceiling.

Borracho eventually rouses himself, and clearly has no memory of what transpired the night before. He does, however, have a nosebleed. Melina walks him downstairs, in no mood to feed him or clean him up, and bids him adieu. ("Can I call you?" Borracho asks hopefully). Melina watches him walk off and wonders if they will ever speak to each other again....

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME JUST HAPPENED HERE????

...to be continued...

Boy, been there, done that. I'm pretty much past dating (way too long in the tooth) but your blog certainly brought it all back to me. I can remember several out-of-it drunks passing out at my apartment. I even had one show up unannounced and very blitzed at 1:00 in the morning, banging on my door asking to come in. Fortunately he was a lawyer, and the threat of the police and possible disbarment sent him on his way. Could have been an isolated event for Borracho, but I doubt it. Mucho cuidado, muchacha!
