Illustration Friday - "Simple"

When I was in my teens I wanted to draw or paint my own Tarot deck. Today I did the first card.

I feel a little like an idiot trying to paint. But that is a wonderful feeling. It's so liberating not to have to be good at everything. It's so nice to do something just because you want to.

I can already see things to improve in this picture but I have to go to Winston-Salem and play at the Celtic Café.

I love what you've painted but I also love what you've written about it.

Hi - just wanted to say that I really love this illustration. I also had thought one day to paint my own Tarot deck, but it would be pretty useless since I know nothing about the Tarot.

Cool. Interesting that you started your tarot deck by paiting the Fool. Hmm...
love

I've thought about doing the same thing but haven't attempted it yet. This is wonderful, and if it's any indication your deck is going to be amazing! :0)

I love that the Fool carries a fiddle (I assume that's what's in the case!) with her.

Very interesting image. I will need to look into creating tarot cards; I am curious about the images.

This "fool" looks like she has the right idea! I love the vibrant energy you created here:> I would like to illustrate the tarot, too. I did the Strength card a while back for an IF topic...lots of fun. This is great!
