When I was in Peace Corps in Barbados, monkeys got into our kitchen one night, stole and ate what food they could find, and left a mess. They left paw prints all over the walls. My roommates thought it was awful to have our home invaded by animals, but I thought it was neat - I only wished I could have seen them in action. Mike's painting makes me think of that incident. A good memory.
Love the color, the composition, and the cute, little monkey.
Primate Center?!?!? That definitely sounds like paradise to me. My boyfriend and I saw lemurs in real life last summer. They were such amazining little creatures.
Wonderful painting. Looks like the monkey is catching a fish? What did you use to paint this? It kind of looks like pastel?
Congrats on being pick of the week, cute illo too:)
Wonderful, wonderful illustration! I'm sorry I missed this one. Congrats on being picked!
Beautiful!!! Love the abstract and inpression quality, wonderful color. Congratulation!!
lovely illo... very painterly... :)
I missed this last week. It is really gorgeous! Such a fun subject matter, style and colors. And I like your technique; it makes the who piece feel whimsical.
Congratulations! Great color use and I admire the loose style...It reminds me to looosen up a bit! Animals in the house would be neat, as long as the studio door was closed tight. ;0)
Congratulations for being the pick of this week ;)
Lovely!
Your colors look good enough to eat.

Congrats on pick of the week! I enjoy your painterly style!
I regret to say that I pretty much stay in "childrens art" and "cartoon" and often miss wonderful work like this. I'm so glad it was picked! Wonderful piece!
