Since sports isn't mentioned in the favorite topics list, it has to be a joke.
My take is that it is not a joke but written by a woman who occasionally listens to what men say but selectively does not hear important things like sports and engine repair.
I think sports is covered under "entertainment," and engine repair is covered under "hobbies/interests in general" or maybe "travel." But there's no entry for bodily functions, which is definitely a favorite topic of (exhaustive) discussion. Thus the list is probably bogus.
