An interesting thing: although the content is 100% Japanese, something about this picture feels Chinese. I can't put my finger on it though...
Is it the hairstyle, I wonder? Although that's not particularly Chinese, I don't think. (Not that I know much about Chinese hairstyles.)
Did you paint this from a photograph? Any clues there?
Hi,
I painted it as a composite from two photos on the web which, interestingly, were almost identical though one was about fifty years older than the other one. This must be exactly how you're supposed to do the tea ceremony!
