Mark does Illustration Friday: "Muddy."

Really, this began as a hippopotamus but I saw the giraffe on the canvas and radically changed the composition. That is one of the things I like best about painting.

I love that you did this. It is true, one of the best things about painting is the process, and sometimes really unique things happen. This is a wonderful painterly illustration. The texture, color and design are almost musical.
Hello,
I found your website through an internet search that pulled up a windsor settee you bought at the NC State fair several years ago from a chair maker in the Village of Yesteryear. I've been trying to find this chair maker and order a similar item for a while now and having difficulties. Do you happen to know the name of the man or company? It looks like a beautiful piece of furniture. My email is elsenft@yahoo.com. Thanks and enjoying your blog!
Beautiful imagery!
You really outdid yourself, Mark. Playful, yet serene.
