"Elements of Style" set to music!
On Morning Edition this morning, I heard lovely music composed by Nico Muhly. It was from a "musical adaptation in the form of a song cycle" of Strunk & White's Elements of Style. Cool idea, eh?
It was performed recently in the reading room of the New York Public Library. There are two long sound samples at npr.org. I wish I had been there.
